Question by 6314girl: Need relationship help! “Wait for it all” or “nobody’s perfect”?
Two schools of thought: 1) don’t get married (or stay in a LTR) if you have doubts about whether you can give each other everything you need, and 2) You will never find someone who’s perfect, so you should accept people’s faults if you love them (unless they are abusive or something).

Which do you think is true? I can’t tell if I have legitimate doubts or if I am asking for too much.

If you’re looking for Cinderella’s “and they all lived happily ever after” riding away on a white horse to the castle where nothing bad ever happens ever again… you’ll be disappointed. Reality doesn’t work like that.

No one is perfect. If you find someone that you are happy and content with, who regularly makes your day better instead of worse because you’re with them, who doesn’t cause you to be stressed or depressed or anxious or worried or jealous, and that you don’t feel the need to play head games with or play “one upmanship” with or “keep score” with about whose turn it is to do something… then look at their faults. Are they ones that you can live with?
